What is Dinuguan?

Dinuguan is a popular Philippine food, which is mostly made of pork offal and blood. The word comes from the Philippine root word "Dugo", which is translated as "blood". The bowl is often in the form of steamed meat, with pork blood as a primary component for a thickened sauce. Its color can range from muddy brown to blackened soup, making it a decelerated bowl that some people have confused on a chocolate bowl. That is why she got the nickname "chocolate meat". As social leaders, they would gain a lion's share in a baked pig, but would leave the interior and discharged blood to servants and workers. Servants would use common kitchen ingredients such as garlic, onion and small salt, to transform the offal in Stew. Some versions would have a whole of green peppers, others cut into large pieces. Lemongrass or "Tanglad" in the Philippines is also a common flavor, probably cutting off part of the taste and smell of guts. Bay list can also be added for another fragrance.

One important thing you remember when cooking Dinuguan is to prevent blood coagulation as soon as it is exhausted from the pig. Many areas would usually mix with vinegar or even coconut milk. The liver can also be cleaned to make the blood sauce stronger and richer. It is also important to cook food for a long time to remove the taste and smell of blood, and of course to be safe to eat.

Depending on different regions, the bowl can be cooked in different versions. Voblast tagalog, Dinuguan contains more soup that is perfect for pouring through white rice. In the Ilocos area, there is a food that is also called "Dinardaraan" from the word "dara", which also means "blood", usually drier. In Batangas, their version of food does not have to include internal, but instead uses first -class cuts. Dinuguan is also popular with sweet white rice cake called "Puto", very niceContrast not only in color, but also in taste.

Dinuguan can be a very unique food in the Philippine cuisine, but also has similarities to other dishes throughout Europe. "Melas zomos" or black Spartans soup also used blood and pork as the main ingredients. The Swedish "Svartsoppa", also translated as black soup, is also similar to food, which can also be made of goose blood.
