What is the compote?

Compote is a Russian drink made by stewing fruit in water with sugar, cooling this mixture and then serving liquid in a glass. More sugar can be added to the taste and the pot is then removed from the heat. The fruit is left in the liquid and left to cool for several hours. During this time they will be in -intensifying and as soon as it is cold, it can be served in a glass, whether tense or with the fruit that remains, depending on the personal preferencesh.

The compote, which is prepared using dried fruit, is usually referred to as a bite. This drink traditionally uses dried apples, pears and plums that can reconstruct in water overnight before bringing to a boil and cooking like a version of fresh fruit.
