What is an offer request?
Sometimes it is simply referred to as RFT, the offer for the offer is a document that serves as an invitation of suppliers and various types of suppliers to provide goods and services to the issuer of the document. For the most part, this type of invitation is used by government entities from local to national level. The offer for the offer provides a similar function as a request for a proposal or RFP in the private sector.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of the offer for the offer is that the invitation is not issued to a selected group of potential suppliers. This differs from the application for a proposal where the document can be either somewhat wide or highly detailed, and is focused only on the sellers that the company feels that they can meet its needs. Instead, governments focus on providing very specific information about the types of goods they want and call on a wide range of potential retailers to deliver. Any enterprise or individual that meets the criteria of the document of the document's text can be entered and possibly a status of authority is granteda supplier.
In some countries, respond to the request for an offer, requires that the potential supplier to submit a so -called request for information or RFI. In principle, this document provides the background of a potential supplier, including details of the number of years in business, information on the financial stability of the company and any other factors that may be relevant to qualifications as a legitimate supplier of the government. A copy of the document may be submitted together with the submission of RFT or the seller may be required to confirm that the RFI has previously been submitted, referred to the date and a government entity who received the request for information.
There is no standard template to prepare an offer request. The final document will be the current regulations and standards that the government must observe. This means that the final proposal is likely to be highly detailed and will provide any potential suppliers reasonableInformation to find out whether or not to respond to the request. Requirements of this type prevent sellers who do not meet government standards in digesting time by creating an answer that is very likely to be considered, while minimizing the number of answers that must be reviewed by an entity issuing the original offer.
