What is the work program?

The work of work with a working share is a government program to help employers avoid laying off unemployment benefits to workers with shortened working hours. Within the share program, the company can maintain all its workforce and avoid the costs associated with rehiring and training new employees as soon as the release needs to be terminated. Employment agencies usually have information about specific labor sharing programs for which the employer can be eligible.

During the economic slowdown period, many employers are forced to reduce costs by reducing the number of employees. For example, a company that wants to reduce people's employment costs by 15% would release 15% of labor on the basis of an agreement that these employees could be revived as soon as the slowdown ends. These employees are entitled to unemployment benefits that may be expensive for the government and the company risk them to lose them to the employer whoThey offer them jobs. To release 15% of the workforce, the company would instead shorten the clock over the workforce by 15%. The company would not be forced to let any employees go, but it would still meet the goal of reducing costs. For employees with limited hours, the government would provide a partial compensation for unemployment for reducing financial stress due to reduced salaries. In this example, employees would receive 15% of the benefits to which they were entitled.

Usually, employees must work 30 or more hours a week to qualify for the action program, and there may be other requirements, such as the minimum number of employees or a minimum number of years in business, depending on the government involved. Employers who are worried about employees' losses and who would like to maintain their workforce can consider a work sharing program as an alternative to temporarily dismissal.

This type of alternative -cap is willing to cooperate, is the most effective. It may require some regulation of duties and obligations, including sharing work and temporary removal of certain positions. Many people in the workforce are willing to endure shortening hours when they understand that the alternative may be dismissal, which could affect them or their friends and collaborators. Employers should make sure that their employees know how to access the benefits of sharing work when they set up a work sharing program, and also helps to provide estimates how long the hours will be shortened and how it will be influenced by the working day.
