What is Worker Productivity?

Worker labor productivity refers to the physical output or total industrial output value created by workers (including apprentices) directly engaged in production in a certain period of time. Assessing labor productivity of production workers can accurately reflect the labor efficiency of workers directly engaged in production. An increase in labor productivity means that more products can be produced with the same labor time, or it takes less labor time to produce a product. This is an important way for industrial enterprises to reduce costs, increase profits and expand reproduction, and it is also the basis for the continuous progress of the entire society. [1]
