What is the Dutch code?
Dutch code is a set of evaluation used to help individuals discover a career or profession. They are also known as Holland codes, Holland Codes Career Model or Holland Hexagon. Holland code was developed by American psychologist John L. Holland. Overall, the Netherlands developed six types of personality that would naturally be suitable for different activities and jobs. They are: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising and conventional. Holland codes are often shortened as Riasec. Individuals can come to their own personal Dutch code by performing the eligibility tests that measure the features of the personality and ask what activities one enjoy.
The Dutch Hexagon is a graphic illustration of six types of personality in which the personality occupies a different corner. Holland suggested that he mediated what types of personality felt, and most often clashed in individuals. Enterprising types have group leaders and influence others. Managers, entrepreneurs and commandersCommunications tend to adapt to this category best. Conventional types are detailed and enjoy organizational activities such as accounting, banking and secretary.
Most people do not fall under one Dutch code, but several. As a result, most of the eligibility tests that Holland codes measure are returned to the first three types of individual personality. This is useful because most people thrive in their career when they are able to bring a mixture of personality traits. Holland codes have gained extensive use in the world of work counseling. For example, the US Ministry of Labor uses the Holland Code as part of its advisory services.
