What are the different types of knee ligament injuries?

The

knee ligament injury includes any suffered damage, whether acute or recurring use, intracapsular or extracapsular knee joint bonds. The ligaments are fibrous connective tissue strips that connect the bones of the upper leg, the femur, the bones of the lower leg, the tibia and the fibules on the knee. They are also vital for stabilizing the knee joint and transmission of forces from the muscles of the hip and thighs over the knee, resulting in the movement of the lower leg. Because they are less flexible than muscle tissue and are found in such a vulnerable place, but the knee ties are more prone to injury.

The structures that normally maintain the knee ligament include both intracapsular ligaments, those found in the knee pockets, as well as extracapsular ligaments, those that lie outside the joint capsules. The main intracapsular ligaments of the knee include the anterior crossed ligaments (ACL), the back of the Ligament (PCL) and the transverse ligament. Perhaps the most famous and most often injured, ACL runs diagonally over beforepart of the knee joint under the patella. PCL intersects behind the ACL in the opposite direction so that both of them form X and are less commonly injured. Rarely injured is a transverse ligament that runs horizontally over the front of the media and lateral meniscus.

The main extracapsular ligaments include collateral ligaments that run vertically between the bones of the legs on both sides of the knee joint and patellar ligament. The collateral ligaments that are relaxed when the knee is bent and tight when the leg is straight, includes the medial collateral ligament (MCL) on the inside of the knee and lateral collateral ligament (LCL) on the outside of the knee. The often injured knee ligament, patellar ligament leads vertically from Thkneecap to the bone of the tibia in the lower leg and helps to transmit strength from the muscle of the knee extensor in the thigh over the joint.

knee ligament injury can either be maintained by a sudden trauma to the joint, often from sport, or gradual wear of tissue from overuse, napromant in frequent squat. These injuries usually occur as tribes in which the ligament is stretched under its normal limits, such as partial tears or complete tears, also known as rupture. Symptoms of all these injuries will include pain and swelling, and in addition to the application of rice pattern, immediate medical care is required: rest, ice, compression and increase.

among those who do sports are the most often injured ligaments of ACL, MCL and PCL, often because of contact injuries. ACL connects femur with tibia and is an important knee stabilizer and is often the first to suffer from tears, either from the direct force applied or from non-contact force-a twisting or explosive movement. From collateral bonds, MCL is located along the inside of the knee and as such is easily cracked from the side contact forces - those applied to the outside of the knee. And finally, PCL that stabilizes the knee joint from behind can be injured by any wound or explosive movement that results in knee hyperextenst knees would be dragged.

The knee joint overuse is usually caused by a patellar ligament, which is thus strongly involved in the elongation of the knee. Every time the knee extends from bent or bent positions, a patellar ligament, alternately known as a patellar tendon, absorbs great strength. Patellar ligament injuries include trunks and very often tendonitis, which can only be treated by avoiding repeating knee bending movements, such as cycling, running or squat, leading to the first place first. As with any ligament injury to the knees, this damage may take weeks or even months to fully recover and require medical care.
