What is basal body temperature?
Basal body temperature, or BBT, is the lowest temperature that the body of the person will be throughout the day. Usually BBT is taken the first thing in the morning before the woman becomes active and her temperature rises. Women who wish to conceive can determine when the best time to try pregnancy is shifts at their body temperature.
The best way to get accurate reading basal body temperature is to take the temperature before getting up from bed in the morning.
