What is a vector game?

Vector game is a type of video game that uses a special graphics display of the vector rather than a more common raster display. The way the graphics and the method that are drawn on the display are generated are the main differentiation factors between vector games and other video games. Vector graphics were popular in early arcade games because it was often more detailed than blocked, pixeled graphics present in the raster games of that time. There was also a short period of time when vector game systems were available for home use. Many modern games, especially Flash® games, use vector graphics, although they do not appear on vector graphics displays and are unlikely to be considered real vector games. Many vector games offer more detailed graphics compared to raster games based on pixel portrayed by similarly powered hardware. Most of the CTORs, however, were monochrome and raster graphics could display a number of colors. SomeThe arcade cabinets of vector games had color overlap on the monitors to replace it. Okryny could represent static scenes in detail, while the vector game provided in more detailing characters and other things other than many raster games.

Other vector games used special displays that could portray a handful of different colors. While the electron beam itself was usually able to display only one color, some displays had two layers of phosphorus that could be illuminated together or separately, depending on the beam strength. This left the inability of the electron beam of the vector display to create a complex text or a very large number of vectors at the same time, as the only main disadvantage of the format.

used most home video game graphics and connected directly to consumer TVs. Vector games also appeared in domestic systems. YouThis vector game systems usually reserved monitors to display their graphics. While the special cathode rays tube (CRT) is not required to display vector graphics, for drawing vectors rather than scanning lines typical of television files.

Vector graphics are images that are created from geometric primitives rather than bitmaps. Modern vector graphics can vary significantly in the appearance of early video games, although the concept is the same. Although no vector graphics display is connected, many modern games use vector images instead of bitmaps. Vector graphics are commonly found in Flash® games and can be easily identified by the fact that vectors can be modified up or down, without any pixeling.
