What Is an ITIL® Practitioner?

The Exam Institute for Information Science (EXIN) was founded by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1984. Today, the EXIN Foundation has been independently established from the Dutch government department. EXIN is a neutral certification examination agency for ICT practitioners worldwide. EXIN is one of the founding institutions of ITIL®, the global best practice knowledge system for IT service management. It develops and owns the intellectual property rights of ITIL® version 1 and version 2 test questions. EXIN has provided ITIL® full range of certifications worldwide since 1993. So far, more than two million IT professionals from more than 120 countries and regions around the world have obtained IT management qualification certification issued by EXIN.

The current EXIN certification system includes cloud computing, green IT, data centers, project management Prince2, agile development, and information security. In January 2015, EXIN launched the world's first neutral certification system for OpenStack open source software. EXIN has made great contributions to the European IT-Competence Framework e-CF (European e-Competence Framework) through close cooperation with the EU government.
