What are the different types of shiatsu therapy?
Shiatsu Therapy is a type of massage therapy that was created in Japan. It is based on traditional Chinese medicine theories (TCM). Generally, the client remains slightly dressed and massage oils are rarely used. The original form of five elements has evolved several other types of shiatsu therapy. It is a massage of Zen Shiatsu, Ohashiatsu and Ashiatsu. It is based on the theory of five TCM elements. In TCM theory, each of the five elements concerns the organ system that should be considered an energy, not strict anatomical meaning. Five elements and their organ systems are wood and gallbladder, fire and lungs, water and kidneys, ground and spleen and metal and lungs. Excess or insufficient energy is not desirable. It practics its hands and thumbs to apply pressure along the Meridian lines, which are energy channels to allow a clear flow of energy. It is based on a standard five-element shiatsu therapy. This form also focuses on working with the body of the body. The practicing during the massage uses knees, elbows, fists, palms and thumbs.
The key feature of this form of Zen Shiatsu is that the practitioner will try to remain "present" in the Zen state. Ohashiats is the third type of shiatsu massage. This type includes practical, healing, energy touch. OhashiaTs massage reduces the client's stress and body stress while refreshing qi and spirit.
The fourth type of shiatsu therapy, known as Ashiatsu Massage, uses the legs practicing to exert pressure on the client's muscles. Practice is barefoot and uses props such as bars nodoJené to the ceiling, for support. This type of massage benefits the practitioners because its weapons, hands and back are used less often, which can help increase the longevity of the practicing massage. Ashiats massage can also benefit clients who would like very deep muscle work. In this form of massage, it is essential for the GP to be well trained or serious injury to the client.
