What are arepaas?

Arepa is a traditional food in South America, prepared and used similarly to bread. Unlike breads, however, ArePas is made from corn instead of wheat. They play a major role in the kitchen of many nations, including Colombia and Venezuela, and are easily accessible throughout South America in the streets and restaurants. In addition to South America, ArePas can sometimes be found in communities with a large South American population or can be made at home. Corn has been an important part of the Americans' diet for centuries, and the native Americans first domesticated excessive grass and learned how to use it. Arepa is made of ground corn base, which is formed into the Patties. They can be grilled, baked or fried, depending on personal taste. Other areas of South America quickly lifted the recipe and AREPAS has become and continued to be extensive. Especially in Colombia, many chefs find their arepaas ingredients such as butter or cheese. AREPAS RELENAS, which are full of various ingredients, are also very popular. Meat, vegetables, eggs and cheeses can be included in AREPAS RELENAS, which can be eaten at any time of the day. In some countries, the night clubs are dancing for a long night.

The size and consistency of AREPAS varies depending on the region. They are usually round, but may take the form of large bloated breads or small flat breads. As flat bread they create an excellent base for the assortment of watering, while the puffier can be cut into slices to make AREPAS Relate. The food is now much easier when the corn flour is pre -treated, leading to an explosion of Arepasůpo throughout South America.

In order to combine the same amount of corn flour and water, the chef adds salt and a small amount of cooking oil to form a relaxed dough. Most Latin American specialized shops offer pre -cooked corn flour for the production of these and other corn foods. OtherwiseCorn meal has to be soaked in lime and cooked to remove the hard bushing of the grain. The dough is kneaded and divided into small wheels that can be grilled, roasted, deep fried or fried.
