What are Meyer Lemons?

Meyer lemons ( citrus meyeri ) are original from China, where they are assumed that they come from the cross between lemon and Mandarin orange less than five hundred years ago. The plant was discovered by Frank Meyer, an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture, while he examined in China. Meyer introduced Meyer Lemons to the United States in 1908.
