What are Pepitas?
Pepitas are pumpkin seeds; They are commonly eaten toasted. The word pepita can refer to either the entire pumpkin seed in its fuselage or to the inner core of the pumpkin seed. Pepitas are popular refreshments, especially in Mexico. From the Aztec times they are part of Mexican cuisine and can be obtained from different types of pumpkins.
