What are pig licking?
Licking pigs are made by coated bacon in chocolate and then decorated with pieces of sea salt, although some chefs leave sea salt. Although this combination of food can provide some readers room for a break, in fact it is supported by a long history of a combination of sweet and salty foods. In Mexico, for example, chocolate mole sauces are used to dress chicken and pork meals in some areas and the famous Fleur de with French caramels is made by sprinkling caramel of sea salt. The cross -section should ideally be partially crunchy, bacon and salt and partly soft when chocolate begins to melt in the mouth. The combination of sweet and salty can be quite pronounced, especially when it is paired with a spicy nature of bacon. Variations on pig licking include bacon coated in candied maple syrup and chocolate chocolate chocolates, which include pieces of boiled bacon in a classic body with chocolate biscuit.
This meal may vary in quality depending on the basic ingredients. Bacon of better quality will bring a more complex and interesting central layer and many chefs like to use high -quality dark chocolate that illuminates sugar, so sweet tones are not stunning. However, it is also possible to use milk chocolate and add a creamier texture to the finished piece. Salt pieces can be replaced by lighter salt flakes or completely omitted, for people who find classic licking of pigs a little salty.
This meal was popularized in 2008, when it was strongly promoted at the State Fair in Minnesota, but in fact many versions of pigs, including Bacon Bonbons, have floated around the culinary world. Food is also not originally on the Midwest and the origin of chocolate/backombination for/salt is actually a bit difficult to track down. Food may have begun as a wild culinary experiment or dared somewhere but gourmet chefsThey quickly lifted and played with the recipe to create their own unique look.
6 This variation is most likely to appear in Texas, where several chocolate companies will already create a range of chili and chocolate mixtures.
