What are Rollmops?

Rollmop is a simple meal that is usually served as an appetizer. It is made of two main ingredients - a piece of fish and vegetables. The fish is usually a fillet of a lodge that is loaded and rolled around a piece of vegetables - usually cucumber or onion. The pick -up is held in place with a toothpick or a small skewer. Rollmopy came from Germany and although they can be home, they are also often purchased in jars.

, while many traditional recipes only require a sequence as a fish in Rolmop, any fish that is sufficiently thin and supple is acceptable. The alternatives are the SMELT and other larger varieties of freshwater fish. They can also be made with sardines, although in Germany this variation comes according to a different name known as the kronsardinen or the crown sardines. It can be cucumber such as gherkin; piece onion, like brown onions; or olive, usually green olive.

Rollmopes can be fresh, but are also prepared in glass containers filled with pickled juice. They should not be stored in metal containers, because the metal with acidic solution with pickling does not happen well that the roles are immersed in. If the roles are placed in a suitable container and maintained chilled, they usually remain edible and tasty for several weeks.

There are many ways to eat roles. Some eat them cold and hands and leave the rollmop intact, so different flavors and textures can be experienced together. Others analyze the ingredients and eat them as part of a sandwich between two pieces of bread. They still get used to eat the ingredients of rollmop separately and some decide to bother them with crumbs of bread and fry them in oil or bacon fat.

This meal was popular in the 19th century Germany.Historical sources claim that Berlin was known to produce the best rollmopy during this period. Their popularity has reportedly spread to many countries around the world and is still enjoying this food today.
