What are Tae Bo® bands?

Tae Bo® strips are a kind of exercise equipment that consists of long elastic strips with handles at both ends. The belts are used in combination with Tae Bo® exercise videos, which include fitness instructions provided by Billy Blanks, a fitness professional that developed Tae Bo®. Sometimes Tae Bo® bands are called "Billy Bands" in honor of Billy Blanks. Exercises that are performed as part of Tae Bo® are a mixture of Tae kwon movements into the box. Tae Bo® belts are used to add resistance to some of these exercises that help tint and build muscles.

These types of belts are sold in sets of two, one for each side of the body. Each band in the set has a different type of handle at each end. One handle is simply a loop that is made of the same type of material as the rest of the band. The other end has a handle that contains a straight rod to fit into the palm during exercise.

There are different Tae Bo® exercises that use Tae Bo® belts. In many cases, the belts are anchored toplace at the legs. A person using bands usually ovine the end ends of the bands around the arches of the legs. This helps to keep the bands in place while finishing the exercise that includes bands. For example, exercise could stand with loops mounted around the arches of the legs and the legs spread apart and stick to the handles. When he raises his hands over his head, the resistance caused by tae bo® tape works muscles in the arms, shoulders and back.

There are also Tae Bo® and DVD exercise tapes that do not require belts within the exercise. Those that often include bands as part of a package that comes with videos. For very fit people looking for another challenge, there are bands Tae Bo® that have mounted weight mounts. This adds another dimension to the exercise that is performed using Tae Bo® belts. The use of these Tae Bo® belts makes exercise more difficult, but they can also help people lose weight, get more muscle or just increase their overall level of strength and fitness.
