B vitamins are a group of eight nutrients soluble in water necessary for optimal body functioning. Vitamins B are also known by their individual names or appointment, such as B1, B2, etc. For optimal results, it is ideal to consume vitamins B as a group, rather than individually, although in some cases it may be necessary to supplement certain vitamins B because the body cannot be accumulated and cannot be stored for later use. Vitamins B include:
- Vitamin B1 (thiamine): necessary for the health of the nervous system, energy production and physical strength. The lack of this vitamin can lead to beriberima, a disease that causes weight loss and limb weakness.

- Vitamin B9 (folic acid): Folate is one more unpleasant vitamins B and you will find them in most green vegetables, dried beans and fortified grains such as certain bread and cereals.
