What are different types of figs?

It is estimated that there are more than 700 varieties of figs around the world, which is not surprising because it is one of the oldest trees that people cultivate for their edible fruit. In fact, the fruit is actually a reverse flower, but because it looks and tastes like fruit, it is referred to as convention as fruit. In fact, biology for figs is quite interesting, because the trees have some unique requirements that can also grow very demanding growth.

There are a number of ways to think about different varieties of figs. Some botanists like to decompose them in the way they are pollinated. There are four main divisions using these criteria. The first type is Caprifig, which produces pollen, but no edible fruit. Caprifigs, however, host special wasps that are needed to pollinate two other divisions, Smyrnas and San Pedros.

Smyrna figs are completely dependent on fertilization, while San Pedros produces two annual crops, one with carprifiges and the other without. Finally, common fig with opYelves and many edible varieties fall into this group. The confusing requirements of different fig trees have been a source of frustration for cultivators for thousands of years, because people initially did not understand why trees were sometimes fruit and sometimes not.

Consumers often divide fruit into green to yellow and black varieties. Adriatic is a classic example of green figs, while the missions of California are black. Many of these varieties can be dried for later consumption and have a wide range of flavors, although they all have a characteristic dense texture that consumers associate with figs. Different cultivars can also bring different fruits, depending on where they are grown, which can be crazy and confusing for growers and consumers.

Among the skirts are some of the most famous varieties Calimyrnas, Marabouts and Zidis. These types are usually grown so that they can be dried and have large crispy seeds. Between the varieties San Pedro PAti King, Lampier and San Pedro. The king is a popular variety with pale green skin and a rich chestnut body. On the other side of the figs of Lampier tend to have more reddish on the body

Among the common figs are some of the most common celests, brown turkey, missions, crunswicks and adriatics. These run a range of size and taste, from small brown-brown-violet celleests to large, sweet, green figs. Adriatics is particularly popular because their trees are extremely productive.

Consumers who enjoy figs should remember to drink a lot of water with them, because delicate fruit can cause a stomach. Water helps to dilute natural oxalates in fruits, which makes them easier, Kidneys and liver. In addition to tasting, they are quite nice, they also have a high content of fiber, potassium and manganese, making them reasonably healthy food.
