What are Weight Watcher Points®?

Watcher Points® is a food tracking system used by Weight Watchers® weight loss. Weight Watchers® was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1963, Jean Nidetch and is now in more than 20 countries in the world. Weight Watchers® members have a choice to lose weight by watching one of the two different eating plans. The basic plan includes eating from the list of healthy foods, while the Flex plan requires food intake to calculate Watcher Points®.

However, the Watcher Points® weight counting is very similar to calorie counting, but includes the Watcher Points® weight of the nutritional value of the food and the energy consumed. Where as calories is merely a measure consumed or spent. More precisely, the Weight Watcher Points® value takes into account grams of fiber, grams of fat and calories consumed when referring to food. When considering activities, Weight Watcher Point®je the measure of the energy used.

Food and calori foodEyes and higher in fibers allow members to eat the most food and at the same time consume the smallest amounts of points for this amount of food. Meats such as Cheeseburger with fast food and high -quality food, low -fat and low fibers such as pasta or white bread, have the highest point values that should discourage Weight Watchers® members from food.

6 Since the weight is lost by a member, the Weight Watcher Points® post is reduced. Point® ranges from approximately 18 points® per day to 35 points® per day depending on the weight of the member. There is also an additional 35 Flex Points® per week, which can be used for a special occasion at a time or spread a week. However, if these Flex Points® are not used, they are not transferred to the next week.

When weight watchers® members add movement and activity to their lives, is for every activity Pthe value of the points. For example, one hour of walking will allow Watcher to add points of points to his day. Point activity® does not have to be obtained from a formal exercise program. Members can earn points® by doing things every day, such as gardening, vacuuming or persecution. It is important to note that the Watcher Point® weight for activity takes into account the intensity of the activity. Running versus walking will get more activity points® and a brisk walk versus a missed walk gets more points®.
