What are yam cakes?
There are different versions of cakes in the world around the world, some sweet and salty. A common element in cakes is the use of yarn as a base for the whole recipe. In Southeast Asia, cakes are generally steamed and have a spicy taste, including shrimp, sausages and other ground masses in the mixture. In the native American cuisine, yam cakes can be free bundles of crushed yarn, which are fried or baked. There are several recipes for real dessert yam cakes, although these are not as common, partly because yarn can be very hard and dense when used in structures such as high cakes. In some countries of Southeast Asia, it is sometimes called a type of corm known as Taro . In North America, the term "yam" is often used incorrectly to identify sweet potatoes. While sweet potatoes and Taro resemble a monster in some respects, these are not true yarn. Taro is closer in taste to a bruise than sweet potatoes, although with the prevalence of pits in Asia many recipes use realíze.
In Southeast Asia, Yam Sacks, appetizers or accompanying soups or other main courses are cakes. Yams are very hard when they are raw and the preparation of income cakes begins with steaming, cooking or soaking the yarn until they are tender. Then they are crushed together with rice flour and sometimes tapioca flour along with warm water to form the dough.
The dough can be added to other ingredients, including garlic, ginger, pepper flakes, mushrooms, five spices, onions or shallots. All these ingredients are usually cooked in advance to develop their flavors and textures. Meat and seafood are also usually added to yarn cakes, including Chinese sausage, ground or sliced pork or shrimp. The additions of meat are generally chopped with fine or are crushed into dried mold powder and cooked through the previous addition to the dough. The whole dough is poured into the pan and steamed until it is solid,After which the upper part can be decorated with nuts, spices or vegetable shavings.
In indigenous American cooking, Yam Cakes begin by hitting the monsters and then mixing them with flour, eggs and sugar. The mixture can then be quickly fried in oil to form sharp cakes. Another version, and the version that has been modified to create a dessert cake with YAM flavor, included the same ingredients, except for the addition, except for the only ones, crushed with other ingredients and then combined with milk and baked until they form cakes similar to biscuits.
