What drinks can I do with gin?

You can produce a large number of cocktails with gin, from simple gin and tonic and iconic Martini to a historic drink called the Pegu Club. The characteristic taste of the liqueur comes from the juniper berries and was first distilled in the mid -17th century in Denmark by a doctor who seeks to alleviate stomach problems. Today it is the main ingredient in a diverse range of drinks that are consumed around the world, including Gin Fizz, Gin Rickey, Tom Collins, Pink Lady and Gin Sour.

Two types of drinks, gin and tonic and Peg club, have close links to colonial British. Gin and Tonic Dali Colonials have two reasons to enjoy a refreshing cocktail: first it was cooling in an Indian heated climate, and secondly, the tonic contained Chinin that fought with malaria. The British colonists also enjoyed a drink called Pegu Club, a cocktail named for their assembly in the rangun. Several cocktails made of this liqueur have color names, including White Lady, Red Devil and Negroni.

Some of the beverage names are also interesting, which leads to their origin, such as Satan's beard, Fallen Angel, The Last Word and Vesper. Other names are based on places such as Singapore Sling, Long Island Iced Tea, Alabama Slammer, Texas Tea, Tokyo Tea, Baltimore Zoo or Old Etonian, named for Eton College. Old Etonian was a popular choice in the 1920s in London. Panther's strike was also quite popular at that time in England and other places and was a popular actress Tallulah Bankhead.

There are many types of distilled gin on the market and some are flavored with unique ingredients that give them a special taste. For example, Hendrick's is made in Scotland and tasted with pink petals and cucumbers. Another brand, Magellan, is flavored with iris flowers. There are also organic types, triple-distilled type and other type that is flavored with liquorice. Many brands are made with different assortments toOut and herbs that are sometimes referred to as botany and may include coriander, angelica root, cinnamon and anise. Secret recipes for manufacturers can contain more than a dozen of these botanists or less than half a dozen.
