What is knives?
The combat knife is a kitchen tool designed to remove bones from meat cuts, usually before cooking. A highly specialized tool is essential for any chef who wants to create boned cuts. Butchers and meat processors maintain combat knives, like most commercial kitchens. Most kitchen stores in stock of knives in size range, because different cuts of meat require different combat knives.
The combat knife blade is thin and short, which makes it easy to slip between the meat and the bone in the cut of the meat. The handle can have different lengths and can be made of wood, plastic, bone or metal. The use of a combat knife ensures that the maximum amount of meat is purely removed from the bone, which reduces the waste in the kitchen. The knife is also kept extremely sharp, so it can clean the fibrous tissue. For larger slices, such as roast, a large execution is recommended by a knife with less giving to reduce the likelihood of injury. The combat knife is almost always used in the back of the house and does not appear u stOlo, because it is part of the preparation of meat, does not serve.
The related concept is a fillet knife used for fish fillets. Fillet's knife has a longer blade, so it can be theoretically used to gently lift and separated all fish bones at the same time. Since the skin of the fish is relatively thin, a fillet knife can also be used for fast fish skin.
As with most kitchen knives, the combat knife should be a mistake by hand in hot water and fine soap in general, because flowing knives through the dishwasher can cause dull. Drying the knife on a soft cloth immediately after washing is a good idea because it prevents stains and marks on the blade. It is also important to focus the knife right, as the knife loses its effectiveness as dull. Wooden handles should be regularly oiled to keep the wood in good condition.
When selecting kitchen knives, try to buy them individually before you buyset. Many knife sets come up with unnecessary blades that you never use, and the knife will eventually make the set somewhat unnecessary. Find the knives with a solid construction and try to avoid cheap metals. Carbon and stainless steel are a good selection for combat knives. Always keep the knives out of the reach of children and curious pets or buy the blade guards.
