What is carbon steel?

Carbon steel wok is a specialized piece of dishes that is made of carbon steel, a material that can handle high temperatures used in WOK cooking. Traditionally, the WOKS pans in the shape of a cone that are used to quickly mix meat, vegetables and grains. Modern WOKS comes in different shapes and can be made of several different materials. This material is extremely hard and can withstand high temperature without melting or deformation. WOK is designed to be used at high temperatures and must be made of material such as carbon steel that can tolerate these temperatures. Carbon steel dishes are also safe for use with food. This allows the Wok center to become very hot, while the hips remain relatively cool. When frying is mixing, the food cooks quickly in the center of the wok and moves to the sides to stop them in excessive cooking, making carbon steel the ideal material for use in WOK.

For a conical and flat carbon steel WOKS can be used to mix fried foods. The shape of the cone is a traditional shape for WOK because it captures heat in the middle, but this shape can be difficult to use on certain types of stove peaks. In most cases, the metal ring can be used to increase the conical carbon steel above the flat cooking surface, but the holding of the Woku above the electric heat source may not allow the pan to allow properly. Many WOKS is made with a flat bottom so that they can easily sit on the burner.

Before using carbon steel wok must be flavored. In this process, WOK is heated, crouched with oil and then wiped. When this process is used on a new wok, it cleans the pan so that it is safe to eat. After cooking on the WOK, the spice is also important because the oil protects the carbon steel from oxidation. When used, the carbon steel wok darkens black.
