What is Clafouti?
Clafouti, also known as Clafoutis, is a classic French dessert that resembles a cream filled with fruit or sweet frittat. While from the French region Limousin, Clafouti is also produced in many other places and is a popular dessert food. Since Clafouti is very easy to make and has an elegant presentation, it is an excellent selection of Quickie desserts for dinner. Since it is served as a general rule, Clafouti is best made at home or purchased as part of a restaurant food. Some purists call no Cherry Clafouti FLOGARDE to distinguish it. The fruit is layered with a thick batter and baked until the dough inflates, as well as quiche. The dessert is allowed to cool slightly before serving with whipped cream, ice cream, Crème Englais or similar icing.
