What is the Greek BBQ?

Greek BBQ is an outdoor action that a single family or the whole community can share. Although much of this resembles traditional barbecues, the highlight of the event is usually a large set of skewers built through coal and loaded with meat. These spitting rotates manually for hours until the meat is finished. Other meals are made and served - such as baked feta or moussaka, but meat on the spit is the real highlight of food. The island's cuisine is unique mainly due to strong Turkish influences. Although grilling is carried out throughout Greece, terminology and practices in Cyprus are unique to the island. In some areas it is just spitting; In other areas - like Cyprus - it has three long skewers unfolded separately, but can be rotated at once. Alers are available compact, increased commercial versions, traditional long metal poles are still used during large assemblies.

souted is placed over coal. PosTel is usually approximately the same length as a brit that can be 6 feet (about 2 meters) or more. The carbons are deliberately very, very hot, but they should not be hot enough to cause fire. During the cooking process, vinegar bottles are kept around them to throw away any outburst.

The most commonly cooked meat on the coarse during Greek BBQ is lamb. There are two preparations. The first is baking lamb. This includes lamb cleaning, salt filling, pepper and lemon and then through it. The whole lamb can take a very long time - more than six hours - to cook all the way.

The second common preparation is to cook a lamb shoulder with a bone stiff. Every piece of lamb is pressed on a spit and sprinkled with salt, pepper and lemon. In both cases, the fat is left on the lamb because it slowly melts and hits coal and creates smoke that will taste the meat.

Inrarts lamb is made in a bowl called kokoretsi . This includes filling the interior and criminal lambs into the roofV as a long sausage. He is skewers and cooked over coal together with lamb.

There are no fixed rules on the Greek BBQ. Anything can be administered within one, including salads or souvlaki. Even souvenla can be used for baking vegetables instead of meat. In all its forms, the Greek BBQ is intended as an event that connects the community around food.
