What is the stand?
The stand is a leveling move in which the athlete puts his entire body and instead of balancing on his feet balances only hands. The stands are a key part of yoga and gymnastics and can be important for some dances styles, including Acro Dance and Break. It is difficult to perform them because they require a considerable amount of upper body strength, decent flexibility and exceptional balance.
To make the stand, the athlete must first place his or her hands on the ground with the palms down and the fingers spread. The hands should be just slightly wider than the width of the shoulders apart and the arms should be locked in the elbow. The athlete then passes through his feet towards his hands, causing the body to turn and at the same time approaching to be perpendicular to the ground. Finally, the athlete lifts his legs into the air and lifts them toward the ceiling until they are in the straight line, perpendicular to the floor. The fingers should always point towards the ceiling.
There are two main typesStands. The first is a straight table stand in which the body is completely straight and forms a line perpendicular to the floor. This type requires the athlete to keep his head and neck in line with his back. This version requires the athlete to use the heels and fingers of the hands to maintain balance, because the rest of the body should remain as small as possible. The straight stand on the stand is common in yoga and gymnastics, because the firm posture allows more changes in overall form.
The second main type is the curved stand. This type of stands allows athletes to curl the back and slightly bend the neck. This technique is a bit easier because the athlete can adjust the back curve of the head of the head for small adjustment of balance. This version is common for dancers and cheerleaders who often move hand movements. It is much easier to move the hands when performing the curved stands back, because the hands are not the only means of maintaining balance.
There are several variations of stands that athletes and dancers canChildren. When performing stands, both side split and front division with legs can be done. It is also possible to bend the knees to different extent. Athletes with exceptional strength and balance can even perform one -handed standing.
