What is biodynamic wine?

Biodynamic wine is a wine made of grapes grown by the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Biodynamic wine can be certified in some places, but in many others it is simply marked with a winemaker. Although some winery bought biodynamic grapes and nebiodynamic grapes and create wines from both, usually a biodynamic wine manufacturer will produce exclusively biodynamic wine. The basic prerequisite is to perceive the vineyard as part of the holistic system in which plants and soil consist of only two components. Everything from insects, through other large animals living on the ground, through water, to the sun to the stars and the moon, is considered integrally associated with the health of the vineyards and the grapes themselves. For this reason, biodynamic wine requires great attention to Vineyard and its relationship to the rest of its natural environment.

because of the mystical components of the method of biodynamic wine production existsMany open critics against this practice. Many people say that there is no difference between biodynamic wine and wine, which is simply organic, and that mystical components are simply so much waving their hands. Others note that biodynamic wine production requires that such intense energy is spent to monitor the vineyard to align practices with things such as heavenly alignment, that the winemaker is likely to spend more time and attention to their viney

Biodynamic wine, however, is incredibly popular all over the world and its popularity has increased extremely over the past few years. There are more than 450 winerying biodynamic wine worldwide, including some important winery in the main growing regions in France, California, Italy, Germany and Australia. These include the famous winery in Burgundy, such as Domaine Leroy and Domaine Leflaive and the Winery in Alsace such as Domaine Zind Humbracht.

Many specific biodynamic products are used in biodynamic vineyards, some of which may seem a bit strange to those who are not in biodynamic principles. For example, the use of a cow horn as a container for holding products that are buried in the ground seems to be some strange and primitive. However, supporters of biodynamic wine believe that such preparations help increase the health and vitality of the vineyard, which eventually improves the quality of wine.

In biodynamic wine, nine main preparations are used, the first two are some of the most important. For example, the preparation of 500 consists of a cow manure buried in a cow corner in the soil. This preparation is buried in autumnquinox and dug into spring equinox, at this point it is added to the crop, which is said to increase the presence of beneficial microorganisms. Preparation 501, is made of powder silicon, which is again buried in the cow -corner for six months, then dug and sprayed atcrops to stimulate growth. The theory behind this is that as sunlight hits silica powder oxide, because quartz acts as a prism that stimulates the plant to form more chlorophyll.
