What is Broshe?
BROSE is a type of Scottish mash made of food, usually oats. This porridge can also be made pudding and alcoholic beverage. The origin of the brose is at least 500 years old. Although the basic preparation has remained the same, modern versions often include ingredients that lacked the original version. The butter could be added. The mixture was covered and left to sit briefly so that the oatmeal could partially increase the water. Then the milk was normally added and the food was eaten. Since the oat oatmeal has only increased, farmers could eat more and remain for longer. Oat oat oat oat oat oatmeal was mixed by cutting the food potted. The version called Kail Brose was made of liqueur used to cook salted beef and was generally considered unsuitable for children.
Modern versions often combine the same basic ingredients with other flavors. Simple reCepts can only include rolled oats, water, salt and possibly sterilized bran. One popular modern version includes mussels, cream, onion, salt and pepper, in addition to the basic brose ingredients, resulting in abundant, soup food.
Fruit can also be included to create a Broshe dessert called cranachan . In addition to oatmeal and raspberries, whiskey and honey are usually added to the mixture. Then the mixture is laminated with whipped cream and spilled more berries.
But one of the most famous versions of Brose is Atholl Brose. A sweet alcoholic beverage, the first written recipe was recorded around 1475, when it was said that the Duke of Atholl defeated his enemy by filling the well with a liquid and waiting for his enemy not to turn off his fulfillment. Atholl Brose is made with Scottish whiskey, honey and a small part of oatmeal. It can also include eggs and water.
oatThe flake is first soaked in water or whiskey and then tense. The solids are discarded and the resulting liquid is mixed with the remaining ingredients. The drink must be shaken before use and may be allowed to sit up to a week before serving.
