What is curau?
curau is a sweet pudding of Brazil. Also known as the Curau de Milho Verde or Brazilian corn pudding, it is a typical dessert served during festivars or June festivals in the country. The bowl is made of milk, sugar and juice made of stainless steel.
This light, sweet treatment is a popular Brazilian dessert. It is often decorated with sprinkling tasty cinnamon and usually served chilled. It is also considered a quick dessert for preparation and popular Brazilian children.
Most of the Curau recipe is usually processed by corn in a mixer with milk. Six ears of corn are usually required for a standard recipe. The corn used should be fresh, scratched directly from the ears and mixed in a blender or similar milk device before use. The resulting porridge should be thoroughly tense. Only the liquid part of the mixture should be maintained for the bowl.
As soon as the mixture is tense, butter, sugar and salt is usually added. Some chefs prefer to add condensed milk. This mixture should beBoiled over the heat in the pot and is constantly stirring. The cooking process can take 15 to 45 minutes and should continue until the corn base is strong and creamy. Once it has reached the desired consistency, it can be removed from heat and cooled until food.
Before eating, curau is usually served in small dessert cups or dishes and spilled with cinnamon. Sometimes it is served outside the bowl, firmly planted on a plate in a circle or square shape, just like Flan. It can also be artfully arranged in cups, pelvis cake or any other desired shape. For this purpose, the hot pudding should be poured into the selection container and then cool as normal.
For those who simply want to buy dessert, it is often available in Brazilian grocery stores. Curau is often sold in a small middle plastic, a container on the lid. These can be decorated for personal contact with objects like JSou cinnamon, pumpkin or chocolate wafers.
Depending on the Earth's Area, curau can be known under several names. Most people in Rio de Janeiro know Brazilian cream like corn porridge or papa-de-Milo. In the large area of Minas Gerais, Curai is called Cora. In the northern Brazil, sweet pudding is called Canjica, while people in the south call dessert simply curau.
