What is DHA oil?

Docosahexaenic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid and DHA oil derived from it is often used as a dietary supplement. Some research suggests that it can improve brain and eye development in children, reduce the risk of heart disease and help treat Alzheimer's disease and certain types of cancer. Fish oils and certain types of eyelashes contain high DHA levels and both can be considered as dietary supplements to increase DHA levels in the body. DHA oil can be added directly to the meal or used as a capsule and it is an added ingredient in certain types of infant nutrition. DHA, which comes from algae, is known as a vegetarian DHA. Although there is no convincing scientific evidence of its advantages, some research has shown that DHA can improve brain development and visual acuity in infants and young children. Vegetarian form of DHA IS oil is often used in prenatal vitamins because it has no odor that is sometimes present in fish oil. This strong odor can be difficult for pregnant women, especially for women with morning disease. Some brandsCh vitamins also contain DHA.

In addition to pregnant women and young children, vegetarians and vegans can also benefit from using DHA oil. Vegan diet can sometimes be in DHA because the fish is its primary source. Vegans and vegetarians who fear that they are getting enough DHA may take the form of a supplement derived from plants. It is not known whether lower DHA levels in the body can lead to health problems.

Some research studies suggest that DHA can be effective in slowing the growth of cancer cells or streamlining cancer treatment. One study found that DHA is effective in preventing colon cancer, but further research may need to verify this use of the supplement. Other studies have shown that DHA can help increase the efficiency of chemotherapy in the treatment of prostate cancer.

Research is still carried out in DHA oil and its possible health benefits. Some studies indicate that it may be a usetangent in the treatment or prevention of Alzheimer's disease and heart disease. It is also assumed that it helps to promote a cognitive function.
