What is Elote?

Elote is a Spanish word for corn, but also concerns a specifically Mexican appetizer or refreshment of corn on the class. After cooking, COB corn is covered with tasty watering for the customer's taste. This favorite street food is commonly sold as one of two common corn items sold by Mexican retailers. The second is esquites , sold in the form of corn cores consumed from a cup with a spoon, often the same sellers who sell elote . While Elote is traditionally street food, luxury restaurants around the world can contain it as an international delicacy in their offers. The skin is peeled back, but has remained attached so that the silk of the corn can be removed. Then the peel is wrapped back around the class of corn and secured at the open end.
