What is halal sushi?
halal sushi is a type of Japanese cuisine that meets strict Islamic laws on food preparation and what food can and cannot be consumed. Halal sushi is a number of small meals containing one or two beds of rice with fish, vegetables or other masses placed on their top. Such halal sushi meals are usually served without resistant options to add soy sauce later. Any animals such as sheep and cows must be killed according to Islamic tradition.
The condition of the seafood is open to the discussion among Muslims. Some believe that all seafood is halal, while others believe that only fish is halal and the rest is Haram. Muslims who are unsure should consult with local imam. What Halal Sushi is really halal will depend on the opinion of a particular imam.
Traditional sushi consists of raw fish such as tuna, salmon and prague placed on the bed of sticky Japanese rice. These may or may not be surrounded by the wall of dry paper with seaweed Známou as "nori". These sushi are then divided into two types: those with wasabi and you without. Wasabi is a spicy paste made of horseradish, which some Japanese believe to kill any worm eggs in raw fish. Sushi can also be lined with Nori and then rolled to form a sushi roll.
One of the most common types of sushi in Western countries is the California role. This sushi contains cucumber, rice, avocado and crab meat and for most Muslims should be considered halal. The same applies to most sushi containing Dashimaki eggs and other vegetables.
Where some sushi should not be considered halal, it is when they contain seafood such as clams and oysters. Another point of the dispute would be the presence of fish eggs. If a Muslim has doubts about the state of such food, it should avoid it, but many restaurants emerge all over the world that offer a certified Halal sushi, and they usuallycan be trusted.
Other factors that need to be taken into account are oils in which sushi is cooked. Most rice requires no oil out of water, and raw fish require no cooking at all, so it should be halal. Any cooked meat, including fish, should not be cooked in animal oil oil, but rather in vegetable oil to ensure that Halal sushi remains.
