What is isotonics?

The term isotonics refers to a concentric contraction of muscles around the joint in a clear way. Specifically, in isotonic muscle contractions, muscle contraction is withdrawn throughout the movement with the same amount of force, even if the contraction rate may change. This point is important because it distinguishes it from another movement called isokinetic movement that occurs when the contraction rate remains the same, but the force that the muscles evolves during movement may vary. Sometimes people use the word isotonics to refer to some lingering exercises. In fact, common examples of isotonic contractions are actually strutting exercises such as BiceP curls and similar movements.
