What is kulajda?

kulajda is creamy, herbal Czech soup. It is also known as Dill soup, because, like most of the kitchen from the region, usually contains a large number of herbs. His other key ingredients include potatoes, mushrooms, cream and decoration of boiled egg. Other possible ingredients include sour cream, trunk and wide range of other herbs and spices. kulajda is usually served with dumplings or abundant bread. In addition to the ingredients, the methods of preparation may vary. For example, potatoes can be cooked either in the soup, prepared separately and added just before serving, or serves as a side dish.

For the typical version of kulajda , potatoes are first peeled, cut into pieces and cooked in plant broth. Then spices such as cumin and mushrooms are added. Dpoté are flour, milk and cream, beaten and poured into the broth. This mixture is allowed to cook for several minutes.

There are other kulajda recipes that begin with the preparation of Roux, a mixture of flour and water. Then the spice and the cream are added. Some recipes also require eggs to break and cook in the soup.
