What is Yoga Laya?

Laya Yoga, synonymous with the better known Kundalini yoga, corresponds to the three central pillars of discipline, self -confidence and determination that forms Patanjali's traditional yoga system. Unlike many spiritual yogic disciplines, however, Laya Yoga in his practice does not include the renunciation of society or extreme asceticism. Instead, yogis are encouraged to perform meditative and physical exercises, which are said to have been designed to arouse latent cosmic female energy based on the base of the human cross. This should cause energy to increase and re -reduce with the cosmic masculine empty energy in the human skull vault, generating a divine connection with universal consciousness.

While the emphasis of Hatha Yogic practice is generally on the right performance of physical attitudes, the emphasis of Laya Yoga Kriya is significantly internal and contemplative. Physical attitudes are more specifically focused on thadice directly affecting the cross and central energy channel. A journey along the central energy channels of the spine, which is said to be Kundalini Energy marked by energy centers known as chakras, each of which is associated with emotional and mental stages of spiritualdevelopment.

Yet most of the yoga teaching will begin with mantras and a short period of restrictive exercises. Most sessions will generally be composed of a combination of HATHA yoga position and respiratory exercises accompanied by internal meditation. Classes are generally closed with the final meditation, a controlled guru.
