What is the onion?
Onion oil is mostly one of two related things: either essential oil extracted from onion or basic oil, such as olive or vegetables that is flavored and widespread onion, usually during cooking. Some scientists believe that onion oil is capable of reducing cholesterol to the negative effects of nicotine and the growth of some cancer growth. The results are inconsistently inconclusive.
In the culinary setting, the onion oil is usually tastier, but also less concentrated.Chefs can often extract onion essential oils by simply heating thin slices of vegetables and then reserve the resulting liquid. Most of the time the taste is more important than cleanliness. Chefs usually add salt and other spices and may or may not leave onions to fry as soon as the oil is extracted.
Onion oil from home pressing is often used as a base for any number of meals. Oil is a common aspect of many recipes. Cooking with onion oil instead of commercially available versions of vegetables or corn often adds a new layer of taste to the bowl and can strengthen many salty and sweet tastes.
