What is Panetton?

PANETTONE is a large cylindrical bread with a vaulted peak that probably came in Milan in Italy. Although now produced and consumed throughout the year in Italy and imported to many countries around the world, including the US, it may have begun as bread baked during the Christmas season. The bread has a fungal texture of light, thanks to its special fermentation process. The whole process of the series can take 18-20 hours for commercial bakers, because fermentation is not as expansive as yeast, without much time. However, the result is undeniably different from most yeast breads. Although the appetizer contains yeast, the bread does not have such a distinctive yeast taste. Instead, the distinctive flavors come from pieces of lemon, raisin and lemon leather, even if you find ordinary versions of bread nebodokonce and chocolate version.

Given the unique process of collection, it is difficult to make this bread at home if you are not willing to devote several daysProduction of the starter or you have a starter at hand. Fortunately, although most of Panetton's companies do this bread in Italy, there are plenty of imports to the US, throughout Europe and elsewhere. PANETTONE can be found in many Italian delis and special grocery stores and you can order it online from several companies, especially around Christmas. Bread is well boat and keeps well, and when it is musty, it is still tasty toasted or made for rich French toast.

Italians can eat PANETTONE with Mascarpone cheese, small butter or zabaglione. It can be administered as breakfast bread or eaten as afternoon snacks. Roast slices of bread can be served with sweet wines or spumante and many enjoy the soaking of bread.

There are several stories about the origin of bread, some probably than others. Some date the beginning of the bread to the Roman Empire, while others indicate that the 16th century could see the arrival of Panetton. Especially the Pieter Bruege imageLa (father) shows bread that appears to be a Panetton. This was clearly made of the 18th century and is listed in writing.

One popular legend is loved because of its romantic nature. In the 15th century, the man fell in love with the daughter of the impoverished baker. Her name was Tonio, and the man feared that his rich family would never allow him to marry a poor girl. The man with his family developed a recipe that became immediately popular, so Tonio and her family very rich. The result was the introduction of bread into Milan called Mr. de Tonio and a happy marriage between the couple. In some versions, a man named Tonio or Toni, who was a baker, developed to marry a rich young girl.

probably the name comes from the size of the bread. Pan means bread, but by adding tone the word means great bread. This is a less exciting version of how bread got so legend is often preferred because many consider it as beautiful as its resultK: delicious, bright and unique bread that is now popular throughout Italy and known throughout the world.
