What is the level of perceived effort?
The perceived exertion is a subjective way of determining how a hard person perceives, how hard works his body during physical activity. The level of perceived exertion was first developed by Swedish professor Gunnar Borg, the physical feelings that one encountered during exercise, including increased heart rate, respiratory frequency and muscle fatigue. Measures, originally based on a 20-point scale and later revised on a 10-point scale, can help provide the person's heart rate approximation.
The first introduction of the perceived scale of exertion ranged from six to 20 years. Six was the lower end of the scale, which means that virtually no effort was made.
