What is rice-a-geoni®?

Rice-a-American®, known for millions with its catchy brand "San Francisco Treat®", is a commercial food product of rice, vermicelli pasta and many different aromatic substances. The combination of Italian and Armenian influences is often attributed to the popularization of rice as the basis of American food. Rice-a-Caron® is available in many different flavors and even concessions to madness of healthy food by supporting low sodium varieties and brown rice.

The story of Rice-a-Carona begins in the 19th century, when the Italian immigrant Dominico Dedominico-Mépe, known as Charlie-played to the Italian missionary district in San Francisco and opened a small production stand. In 1912, Dedominico's wife urged him to establish a pasta and delivery factory that grew rapidly in popularity throughout the fast -growing city at the Gulf. Business has been prospering for decades and four sons Dedominico eventually joined him.

When Charlie's son Tom Dedominic, he married a Canadian immigrant named Lois and both moved to the house of the Armenian owner, only a few could guess that they would soon result in famous food. Mrs. Captanian, the surviving Armenian genocide, soon began to teach Lois how to make traditional rice meals, which in turn introduced her husband and sister -in -law. The brilliant sons of Charlie Dedominico, who decided to try to combine rice with their popular Vermicelli pasta and in 1955 the first version of Rice-A-It® was born after testing months. Rice-a-Caron® launched regional marketing in 1958 and became available at nationwide and subsequently iconic, four years later.

The original version of rice and roni and reg combined mixtures of rice, pasta and chicken soup. Now there are about 20 different versions of the box side blankets commercially accessible in a wide range of shoes. Rice-a-Caron®, which was no longer owned by the Dedominico family, was purchased by Quaker OThe ATS Company® at the age of 80 and since 2001 has been a Pepsi-Co® product since 2001. Food has often been offered as a cheap means to provide an attachment to the filling and a more auxiliary section to feed a large group.
