What makes pink champagne pink?
In the past, pink champagne was often considered worse than a white variety. However, pink champagne or rose has gone through something in the last few years. If white champagne is considered a festive drink, then pink champagne is sometimes considered a celebration of romance. Taking white champagne into pink champagne comes into one key part of the Winery process.
There are only two ways to become pink. One method is to add red wine to white wine. This is a bit simpler method and the depth of the color of red wine is at the preference of the winemaker. It may differ from slightly pinkish color to dark red. The red wine used in the mixture should be from the same area as the original white champagne. Traditional champagne is produced by mixing two -thirds of the grapes with the third white grape. When the grapes are pressed, the skin of black grapes can be left with white wine. In fact, it dyes red wine and produces pink champagne.
This process is still used to produce pink champagne, but is not so popular or widely used as the first method. This is because the process of dying is quite difficult to control. However, some people prefer to leave black grapes to soak because it gives a champagne taste full of body.
In the champagne production process, only three different grape varieties are used: a white variety called Chardonay and two red varieties known as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The sweetness or dryness of the champagne is determined by the amount of added sugar after wine fermentation.
There are many different brands and types of pink champagne, but there is really only one true champagne. Real champagne is called because it comes from an area in France called Champagne. Champagne is located northeast of Paris. Wine experts insist that only champagne from this area can be consideredovate for the real champagne.
