What is Hobbit's galaxy?

The term "Hobbit Galaxy" was recently used to designate galaxies even smaller than dwarf galaxies that contain several millions of stars. Hobbit galaxies contain only a few hundred thousand stars, just like a large stellar cluster in the galaxy. By comparison, our own Milky Way contains 200-400 billion stars, more stars than the galaxy in space. The only galaxy that is undoubtedly suited to the shield is Leo T, the galaxy discovered in 2007 during the Sloan Digital Sky survey. The "T" designation suggests that Leo is a temporary object between the galaxy and something else. It is 1.4 million light -years away, Leo T is outside the gravitational effect of the Milky Way. Leo T has luminous intensity equal to 50,000 sun, unprecedented for galaxy.Alify for Hobbit Galaxy Status. Once our telescopes increase, instrumentation available in the field of extragalactic astronomy is improving and we will learn more about weaker, unintegrated types of galaxies. Current cosmological theories predict the existence of 5Up to 10 times as many dwarf galaxies in our local group, as we currently observe.

In particular, two Leo T properties are relatively unusual: first, its diameter is about 600 light -years, compared to the diameter of a cluster of stars similar matter in the galaxy: only about 100 light -years. This shows that the stars in Leo T are built into a large spot of dark matter. The second unusual thing about Leo T is that it contains relatively young stars, unusual for the previously observed dwarf galaxies that usually guest ancient stars. Leo T also raises the question: How small can a galaxy be?
