What is a situational lead?
Situal Leadership®, once called the theory of life cycle, is a model of business management created by Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard. Blanchard and Hersey's model, which first received the announcement at the beginning of the 70s, is based on the style of emergency leadership. This means that the strategy and decision on the management that the business leader makes, as well as his personal style of leadership, depends on or dependent on each unique situation.
Flexibility and maturity form a large part of the situational leadership® approach. According to Hersey and Blanchard's situational theory, the leaders must be mature enough to take responsibility for their actions and decisions. It must also be flexible enough to change the leadership styles to best communicate with their followers. The philosophy of driving for the theory of Blanchard and Hersey's leadership is the importance of a good match between the leader and the follower. The leaders must be able to accurately assess the level of every follower, ability and motivation, among other things, in the management of followers. HERSEY AND BLanchard sees directing as a way in which the leader communicates a directive or teaching, a follower. They note that the leader pointing tasks on the follower is essentially a one -way form of communication. On the other hand, support for management management allows the follower to control which tasks can work on, while the leader provides only the main decision -making power.
According to Blanchard and Hersey, coaching differs from support in that the leader communicates with the follower and creates thoughts. Although the leader has the power to take final decisions, the follower is recommended to provide his entry into the projects. The fourth basic communication method Situtional Leadesspice®, delegation, is similar to the leader in the tasks. However, the direction differs from delegation because the delegation usually lays much more control by the follower. When he delegates the task of a follower, the leader allows him to take more control over the meTodami to achieve the desired result, rather than a state with constant directives as a means to manage the direction of a particular project.
Hersey and Blanchard say that decision -making on whether to use directing, support, coaching or delegating a situational leadership® strategy for each employee means that the leader must first analyze a specific situation. After analyzing the needs of a particular situation or project, as well as the level of readiness employee, the leader chooses the best style of leadership to achieve the company's goals. Blanchard and Hersey theory emphasizes that there is a weak manager of the leader's leader at a different level than knowledge, experience, experience and attitude of follower,
