What Is Early Childhood Development?

This book is the product of analysis and comment on some problems that occurred in the development of children in Japan in the 1970s. The purpose of writing this book is to find out the laws of young children's development. Of course, due to different times and cultures, the conclusions drawn may be inconsistent.

Early childhood development and education

Today's developed countries are troubled by children's development and education. In the United States, two to three million child abuse or abandonment incidents occur within a year. In Japan, it started with children's truancy, and developed into school violence, bullying of weak children, and class collapse. In the past 20-30 years, educational issues have become a hot topic in society. Although Eastern culture has the tradition of "children are treasures", compared with western countries, child abuse and abandonment are much less common, but in the last two or three years, they have also increased dramatically, with 5,000-6,000 cases occurring every year event. China's only child, due to over-protection and lack of independence in adolescence, has also caused widespread concern.
It can be said that the raising of children or the education system itself has changed. As a result of these changes, many problems have arisen, which has led to the popularization of child inquiries and psychological counseling. Child psychological counseling is effective for solving educational and psychological problems, but these are temporary headaches and foot pains. What's important is that all of these issues have potential in common. We need to find out the deeper principles underlying these problems, that is, where and in what form do children's development take place? What education policies and strategies should we adopt to guide children in a good direction? It is more important to examine these issues theoretically than anything else.
