How are the calories of fat calculated?

This is probably why most dietologists stimulate those who are afraid of calories to eat high carbohydrates and protein foods and low fat content. Not only will fat, gram, double the amoun calories compared to grams of protein and carbohydrates is also easier to save. In some respects, fat calories can be considered twice as bad as other calorie sources.
