What is the main driver?
Prime Mover is a group of muscle or muscle groups that are most responsible for the specific movement of the joint. There are only a few main movies in some joints, but others may have several main driving playgrounds, depending on movement. In fitness, this is an important concept, because when performing exercises, it is important to know the muscle of the main movies of this exercise, because it will be the one who gets the most intense exercise. For example, in a knee that bends only in one direction, there are two main drivers. Quadriceps is the main driver of the knee extension and hamstring is responsible for the flexion of the knee. Exercise, which depends primarily on the bending of the knee, then use one of these two muscle groups as their primary group of muscle seas. Therefore, the muscle group receives a large part of this exercise.
shoulder joint is an example of a joint that has much more muscles of the main MoveR than the knee, because the arm can rotate in many different directions. Depending on the movement of the shoulder, they may be the primary driver of deltooids, latissimus dorsi, pectorals or teres minor. Also, due to the relative complexity of the shoulder joint, they can have different movements of the same main mover. For example, deltooids are primary movies of shoulder and shoulder flexion.
This has consequences for weightlifting and fitness, as this affects the number of ways that the athlete can develop specific muscles. If the athlete wants to strengthen the muscles that move their knee, they must only target two muscle groups. However, if an athlete wants to improve the strength of his shoulders, he or she wmms a number of exercises to focus individually on each relevant muscle group. For this reason, athletes will often use compound exercises to develop more complex joints, as these types of exercises can target several muscle groups at the same time.
