What are some recipe substitutions?

So you have all the ingredients for your recipe - except one. Can you make a substitution? Often, yes. However, the cook must be careful about the recipe substitution. Cooking is a surprisingly complex experiment of chemistry and substituted ingredients should serve the same chemical function as the omitted component. In the recipe it can be replaced by onion salt (not onion salt) or dried onions. Instead of cinnamon and vice versa, spices can be used. Cinnamon can also be combined with ground cloves and ground background for a more authentic taste of all spices. This applies to most herbs and spices. The recipe can have a slightly different taste than the original, but if the chef likes the spice she has used, she will probably like ready food.

Recipe substitution complicates when a person uses ingredies that has a certain action in the recipe and also adds a taste. However, some recipe substitutions are surprisingly simple. Buttermilk? Use a cup (226 grams) of ordinary yogurt or one cup (237 milliliters) of regular milk with a spoon of white vinegar or lemon juice. What is a buttermilk, but slightly sour milk? Baking powder can also be replaced by a recipe. The formula should use 1/4 teaspoon per baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon of tartar, or 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/2 cup (117 milliliters) buttermilk. When using the second option, reduce the liquid in the recipe by 1/2 cup. Obviously, components in recipe substitutions must always serve the same chemical function.

However, the ingredients can be replaced as necessary as eggs. Try to use 1/4 cup of silk tofu puree or 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise or half of the bananas with 1/2 teaspoon of bread in the place of the egg. For dramatic recipe substitutions, such as these, it may be appropriate to try Recipe at home first to see if it turns out well than it happens to get somewhere (it's not a bad idea for any new recipe).

tomato sauce mixed with a small oCTE and sugar is a good substitute for ketchup, while lemon juice or white wine can be replaced by vinegar. Three tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon oil replace one square of unsweetened baking chocolate.

hundreds of recipe substitutions are also available on the Internet, but the chef can often think of their own recipes when considering the function of the missing folder. Little ingenuity in this case can go a long way and can even improve the recipe.
