What are the advantages of positive thinking?

There are many claims about positive thinking. People looking for a deadline on the Internet will find a number of books, articles and websites dedicated to the subject. The advantages of positive thinking sometimes seem to be redesigned, and the claims about it may seem too good to be true. Sometimes, especially when people ignore the negatives in their lives at a point where they do not deal with real problems that require their attention. On the other hand, a growing set of scientific evidence suggests that thinking may be beneficial in many ways.

There are studies that indicate that positive thinking can help in treatment and recovery from diseases. But it is not a magic bullet. The thinking of positive thoughts does not cure all cancer or does not make every recovery. However, it can increase mood and reduce hormones and other chemicals produced in large volume when people are stressed. The main thing seems to be that we have an advantage over negative thinking because there are definitely causal tiesAmong the negative thinking and production of stress hormones that make people feel worse.

There are a number of ways in therapy introduced positive thoughts. Two key therapy concepts that use thinking as a means of recovery from mental illnesses are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and accepting and determination of therapy (ACT). In particular, ACT can partially focus on interpreting events in their best light, instead of interpreting them as a personal insult. It attempts to prevent people from negative and using negative self -confidence in the way they perceive the situation and evaluate various motivations that can control other people.

CBT can evaluate how people get into patterns of destructive thinking based on basic beliefs that are not really true. People can move from these old destructive beliefs to those whoThey are more modulated and more realistic. Both ACT and CBT are considered legitimate means that help in the treatment of mental diseases and have been shown to improve the outcome, even if they are used with difficult conditions.

positive thinking is not only for those suffering from mental illnesses. There are many methods that use these ideas in everyday life. Athletes can take advantage of positive visualizations to "see" achieve a goal or make a perfect pull. Students can visualize a large score of tests and then achieve them by reducing test anxiety and study. Many people accept optimism as a life strategy. Even in bad times they try to find a silver lining or use heavy times to commit to help others.

There may also be disadvantages of positive thinking. People can become too optimistic, a state called optimism. They believe they are immune to the bad times or simply believe in the probability of good things, that occur is greater than the likelihood that there are bad things. This could lead to a smoker that he will not have lung cancer, for example. Optimism must be alleviated by realism that is not the same as negative. A favorite quote between many Christians is "to act as if everything depends on you; praying as if everything depends on God". In other words, people should not use faith in divine or optimism to replace life in a positive way that is likely to improve their chances of positive results.

Bottom line, positive thinking brings benefits. It seems to potentially affect people physically and mentally. It is not a cure, but apparently it is only a small damage, especially when it is paired with a positive action. It may not be unrealistic at all, but it looks good in any situation or assumes that good will come.
