What is Cruller?

Cruller is a fried sweet pastry. It is considered a similar taste to a donut. Before cooking, the Cruller dough is twisted into an elongated shape. It can then be ended with powder sugar or icing or consumption. The word Cruller comes from the Dutch word for a twisted cake, krulle . It is also a Dutch word for curl. Because of their origin, they can be known in some parts of the United States as krullers . Twister is another name for Cruller.

Cruller's traditional ingredients are eggs, sugar, butter and flour. Other ingredients such as rum or nutmeg may also be added for holiday recipe. Crullers are traditionally consumed in Germany by many Catholics, who observe Tuesday, the last day when the rich and oily meals before the start of fasting during the fasting season during the Easter holiday season.

In Spain, Cruller is called Churro. Churros are also considered to be popular in the southwestern region of the United States and other areas with largeHispanic populations. Churros is usually longer and thinner than Crullers, because the dough is most often inflated with bread to form its shape. Churros is traditionally rolled in powder sugar and is served warm after cooking.

In Italy, Cruller is called ali Fritti , which means fried wings. The French Crullers are made of Pate and Choux , a traditional French dough containing only flour, water, butter and eggs. The pastry dough, also known as a bloated dough, emits a steam that gives it a light, airy texture. Unlike other Crullers, the French Cruller has a round shape with a hole in the middle. The dough is usually compressed over the pastry with a grooved tip that gives the pastry raised Ridges.

In China, Crullers are considered popular as a breakfast food. They are called you tiao in Mandarin and Yau Char Kwai in Canton. Both namesThey translate into fried devils. The origin of the name comes from the dynasty of the song, when the government official was incorrectly charged with betrayal and killed. It is assumed that deep fried devils are represented by its prosecutors who suffer from frying in oil for eternity as a punishment in the afterlife.
