Wonton is a type of spicy Chinese dumplings that are usually cooked and served in soup. Fried Wonton is a variant of the traditional Chinese version that differs both in ingredients and in the cooking method. As the name suggests, the fried wonton is cooked so that it is fried in oil.
Fried Wonton is usually given as an appetizer or refreshments. Although it is not commonly seen in authentic Chinese cuisine, they are very popular in North American Chinese cuisine. Indonesia, Japan and Australia also have their own popular versions. Although filling ingredients may vary, all these versions are fried in oil until it is golden brown and serves hot and crunchy either on their own or with sauce. In its simplest form, it consists only of Wonton's skins, fried either by singularly or with one leaf, which was packed and wrapped in another frying. Another popular form is Crab Rangoon, where the Wonton filling consists of a mixture of crabs and cheese.
The third popular North American type is the form ofThe traditional Chinese Wonton in the form and filling. This mixture combines pork or other meat with spring onions and ginger. Other ingredients used in this type include rice wine, soy sauce and sesame oil. There is also a vegetarian wonton and contains fillings such as pumpkin or cheese.

Other variations of ingredients include adding eggs and tapioca flour. The Wonton shape is also different.
In the northern American version, the filling of Wonton is located in the center of the square leather, then all four sides are brought up and clenched by Poether. This creates a land that resembles a bag on the cord. In Pansit Goreng, the wonton leather is folded in half above the filling into the triangle, then the corners are fed together and sealed and forms tVa, which resembles Tortellini pasta.
Japanese fried Wonton also differs in the shape. This type is created by placing the filling on one side of the skin Wonton and then folding the skin in half and sealing it and creating a triangle. The ingredients of this variation are also different and usually include cheese and perilian leaves.
Australians also have their own form of fried Wonton, called Dim SIM. DIM SIM contains similar ingredients to North American and Indonesian forms and often also contains cabbage. The main differences are size and shape. DIM SIM is very large compared to other variations and are shaped into a large ball or brick.
